“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” – Philippians 4:8

11 years in education

I married my wonderful wife in 1991.  We have two boys in college and a cute dog who keeps us on our toes.  Maybe she’ll go to college soon and I won’t have to guard my food anymore.  When I’m not teaching, I’m working doing landscape maintenance.  During my spare time I enjoy helping out with my youngest son’s boy scout troop, teaching Sunday school, playing my saxophone and doing anything I can with my wife. I love to take road trips although it happens far too infrequently.  Yellowstone National Park in one of my favorite places to go.  In my 11 years of teaching, I have enjoyed teaching a huge variety of subjects to every age from Kindergarten to 12th grade.  Each age has its own set of things that make it enjoyable to teach.  Seventh and eighth grade is the age I’ve spent the most time with.  The best subject/level so far is teaching Music right here at Firm Foundation Christian School.
