The purpose of our admissions process has always been to ensure applicants will thrive at Firm Foundation — academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. While we’re moving some of the admissions process online in response to the coronavirus, we’re still seeking to discern if your child will flourish in our learning environment. Our mission is to partner with parents to instill within children a passion for God, love of truth, and zeal to serve; therefore, we strongly value the relationship between our school and parents. (CLICK HERE to learn more about the Eagle Online Academy we’ve launched to successfully continue educating our students through this quarantine season.) Applying to a private school can seem overwhelming during typical circumstances; be assured that we plan to walk alongside you as you follow the following Admissions Process during this unusual time:
STEP 1: Application
To apply, you’ll first create an account through our website with your own, personal username and password. The online application is an opportunity for you to tell us about your family, child, and the values that inform your life. When you’re all finished, submit the application along with the application fee ($200 per child or $300 per family).
To complete the application, you must also submit:
- Student Records Request
- Standardized Test Scores
- Recommendation Form and Home Language Survey (if necessary)
If your child is currently attending school, please complete a Records Release Form. Then, contact your child’s teacher to request a Teacher Referral Form and email the school to request your child’s records be sent to FFCS. If your child’s school is currently closed, email your request and ask them to send digital copies to email@example.com.
Once the application is complete, paid for, and the aforementioned forms have been submitted, you will enter the Enrollment Process.
STEP 2: Enrollment
Once you have completed the application and our Enrollment Specialist has had time to review it, you will be moved on to “Enrollment in Progress” status by Wendy Baker. Wendy will send you an e-mail letting you know this has happened and giving you instructions on how to complete the Enrollment Paperwork that needs to be done.
STEP 3: Interview
Elementary students and parents may be asked to meet with the Vice Principal of Elementary. Middle School and High School students will meet with our Administrator and Registrar. We may need to meet virtually until it is deemed safe to gather in person.
STEP 4: Testing
All students that do not have copies of standardized state testing scores will need to be tested before starting school. We are hoping to do that at the school site as soon as restrictions are lifted.
Once paperwork, test scores, and interviews are complete you will be notified via e-mail that your student has been accepted and is officially enrolled at FFCS.
Thank you again for your interest in FFCS during these unprecedented times. We are here to guide you from step to step in our process and look forward to partnering with you. Our prayer is that you will cast all your anxiety on Christ and sense His deep care for you this spring (I Peter 5:7). We believe God is glorified as we lean into Him and depend on Him in new ways.
