“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” – Philippians 4:8

11 years in education

I married my wonderful wife in 1991.  We have two boys in college, a brand new daughter-in-law (also in college) and a cute Basset Hound who keeps us on our toes.  Maybe she’ll go to college soon and I won’t have to guard my food anymore.  When I’m not teaching, I’m working at my landscape maintenance business or giving piano lessons.  During my spare time I enjoy teaching Sunday school, playing my saxophone and doing anything I can with my wife.  We love to take road trips, although it happens too infrequently, and going for a hike in nature.  Yellowstone National Park is one of our favorite places to go.  Although my degree is in Music Education, in my 12 years of teaching, I have enjoyed the privilege of teaching many different subjects and grades. Every age has its unique characteristics that make each student enjoyable to teach.  My favorite so far is being able to teach Music (and a bit of PE too) right here at Firm Foundation.
