End of School Year Update

As the 2019-2020 school year comes to a close, I would like to express our deep appreciation to our entire FFCS family for walking through this unique season of distance learning in a spirit of unity and trust in the Lord. While it was challenging on many fronts, He was faithful to provide for us and carry us through, and we thank Him for that.

It is our hope and prayer – and what we are actively planning for – that students and staff will physically return to campus on Wednesday, September 2nd, for the start of the 2020-2021 school year. Our team has been seeking wisdom from the Lord and with information provided by the Association of Christian School International, the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, and other professional entities, to continue to provide a safe and healthy school environment for our students. We are developing thoughtful, informed, and strategic initiatives to safeguard our school through this unprecedented time.

More information will be communicated to you as it becomes available this summer. To prepare for the new school year, we will continue the significantly increased cleaning protocols and procedures on our campus, and our entire staff will be trained by a medical professional on minimizing transmission risk. We are thankful to hear the recent news that COVID-19 does not spread easily on surfaces, but we will continue significant surface cleaning in an effort to go above and beyond to care for our students, parents, and staff.

In Deuteronomy 31:6, Moses encourages the Israelites who, much like us, were about to enter a “new normal,” a new land:

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified…for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

We all look forward to being reunited with you all soon in person on our campus. We will continue to provide updates to our families throughout the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more details.

Have a wonderful summer, Eagles!

In His Service,

Julie Olson
