Living out the gospel.

Mission and Service

“For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.”  – 2 Corinthians 4:5-6

Service and mission are integral to fostering a biblical worldview in our student’s hearts. Organizations supported include Habitat for Humanity, Open Arms India, International Medical Teams, Options 360, Camp Attitude, and Forward Edge. Individual classes and/or students are also encouraged to support and get involved in local and foreign missions.

In March of 2017, eleven high school juniors and seniors participated in our first short-term mission trip. The team, along with FFCS staff and parent chaperones, visited Zacapa, Guatemala and working alongside the ALC Foreign Mission doing service projects, visited new mothers and babies in the local hospital, and visited an orphanage. The international trip occurs every other year. In 2020, we sent a team to work in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco.

Other organizations the FFCS students have served include the Salvation Army, North County Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, local law enforcement, the High School mission trip, residents at Mallard’s landing, Camp Attitude, Camp Hope, Lewisville Park and many others.
