About Me
I have been married since 1996 and have two daughters, who both graduated from FFCS. I am a Bible Study Fellowship group leader and nursery director at my church – Brush Prairie Baptist Church. I love to read, make cards, scrapbook and spend time at the beach. I have a heart for children and love to see them learn and grow and am thankful for the opportunity to point them to Jesus.

About Me
I moved to the Battle Ground area several years ago and began teaching at Firm Foundation shortly after. I like coffee, puzzles, hiking, travel, and doing craft projects. I enjoy teaching for several reasons – I love the challenge of doing something different every day, I love the energy of the students, and I especially love being able to teach in a school where I can point students to Jesus daily!

About Me
It is such an honor to be teaching first grade here at Firm Foundation Christian School. After receiving my bachelors’ degree in education from Washington State University in 1992, I have been blessed to have been educating children from preschool through third grade. I taught first grade for six years in the Union Gap School District. In 1997 I received my master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from City University. My Husband, Kyle and I moved to Clark County in 2002 with our first child. Since then, the Lord blessed our family with two more boys! I had the privilege of being a stay at home mom with my sons in their younger years. However, the desire to teach never left my heart and I found many opportunities to stay involved in educating young children. Whether volunteering in the children’s ministry at my church or leading a small group in a Mom’s group, or teaching preschool, I love teaching little ones to grow in Jesus and in their academics. I have learned and continue to learn so much from each child that I have had the pleasure of teaching. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my boys sporting events, gardening, and being outdoors. Teaching in a school that is dedicated to a child’s spiritual, emotional, and academic growth is exciting. I am very thankful that God led me and my family to Firm Foundation Christian School and I am excited to see how He will use me to minister to the hearts of little children.

About Me
I count it a great blessing to work with students each day as they learn about and explore the world that God has made. I love helping each student grow to meet their fullest potential and challenging them to be curious and take chances when learning. I strive to create a community of learners that propels this growth in a positive, engaging environment.

I have been married for over 14 wonderful years and have 3 amazing children, who also attend Firm Foundation. Outside the classroom, I love to read, drink coffee with friends, and go on outside adventures with my family. I also love to cook and am always searching for new recipes to try!

About Me
It has been such a blessing to teach at FFCS for the last 3 years. I got married, moved from NE to WA, and started a new job all in the middle of 2020, so it was an answer to prayer to find a place to teach that would be more than a job, but a place to belong and build community. Moving out to WA has been fun for me to learn to love hiking (growing up in the Midwest did not train me well) and to simplify life by living in a tiny house with my husband. I’ve been working on trying every Mexican restaurant in the area, and Little Conejo is one of my favorites. It has been a joy to teach the students at FFCS to love God, others, and who God made them to be.

About Me

About Me
Together with my husband and 4 children, we enjoy serving our church as Youth Pastors and Worship Pastors. We serve in the church where we grew up in and my parents are the Pastors. We love our church. Our family loves to play games and go on road trips. We love music and sports. I never thought teaching was part of God’s plan for my life, but when you say “yes” to God, he has an amazing way of showing you that “His plans are better than yours”. I love leading worship and working with our Youth Group – and now, God has broadened our shoulders to include teaching at FFCS. What a joy and delight. I love teaching and I love the students God has placed in my class! I love being able to share Jesus with them every day.

About Me
Third grade has been my home here at FFCS since the fall of 2006. Spending the day with children is truly a blessing. Imagine starting the everyday with bright eyes and smiles. It has been a joy to be a part of education for more than a quarter of a century. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, I taught elementary P.E. in Vancouver. Within a year, I married Mr. Wright in my hometown of Appleton, Wisconsin. Together my husband and I raised four unique individuals (Adam, Abraham, JoBeth, and Angela), who are now married and have families of their own. When I am not teaching school, I am teaching swimming lessons and spending time with my precious grandchildren.

About Me
Being outdoors is my happy place. I love being with my family, gardening, biking, hiking and playing with my toy poodle, Leo. I love learning about other countries and cultures, traveling and tasting new foods. My favorite foods are Mandazi (Kenyan donuts) and Vietnamese Pho soup. One of my favorite adventures was going with my wife, son and daughter, on a safari in Kenya, Africa where my wife grew up. I attend New Heights Church in Vancouver where I live. I am honored to get the opportunity to utilize the skills God has given me to teach and train up students in the way God wants for them at FFCS!

About Me
I am excited to join the Firm Foundation family after many years away from a full time classroom while helping my husband raise our three boys. My passion for teaching continued during this time as a mom, independent math tutor and substitute teacher. In my free time I enjoy watching my boys play baseball, a cup of sweetened coffee, scrapbooking, trips to the beach and spending time with friends and family. God called me to teach in my youth. I thrive when I am connecting with students, helping them build confidence and develop a love for learning. I love the opportunity Christian education provides to partner with families in raising the next generation while pointing them to Christ, who made them, knows them by name and loves them dearly.

About Me
I am married to my wife, Crystal. I have a stepdaughter named Brighton, and Crystal and I have a son named Joseph (Seph). We also have three cats at home: Cash, Mazie, and Beverly. Crystal and I have been married since February 2023.

I love coffee, Star Trek, science fiction, working out, reading, and writing.

I attend Summit View church and am involved with a men’s Bible study.

My passion for teaching stems from wanting to help children grow in their academic knowledge and help them love learning.

About Me
I became a teacher for two major reasons. I am honored to say that I have grown up in a family of teachers that are truly passionate about what they do. My father was an educator for over 35 years and inspired 3 of my siblings, as well as myself, to become educators. The second reason I was inspired to begin teaching was because I had the chance to travel to Uganda, Africa, to volunteer at various orphanages, churches, and schools. This eye-opening experience opened my heart to teach in Washington during the school year and travel back to Africa during the summer to continue teaching and helping the children there. I believe learning is a life-long process and it is so rewarding as a teacher to witness and nurture the academic and, most importantly, spiritual growth of our students.

My hobbies include singing, sketching, painting, hiking, gardening and traveling. I also love working with animals and had opportunities to work as a dog trainer and veterinary assistant before I began teaching. My family and I have been writing and playing music together since 2010 and have played at various churches over the years and have always loved singing about our amazing God. Our grandpa was a pastor for most of his life and my family was always highly involved in the church, so we were privileged to learn about God at an early age and grow in our love for Him over the years.

About Me
I would not be who I am without, firstly, the Lord, second, my dear husband, Don, and thirdly, our three precious kids: Sam, Emmy and Allie. I learn so much from all of them. Our whole family is passionate about music. God made me a creative person, so I enjoy all kinds of making: jewelry, drawing, watercolors, and learning to work clay on a wheel. I lead in women’s ministry at church, sing in worship and enjoy learning more from God’s Word. Time in nature, exercise, and strong coffee are also important to me. I’m very grateful to be part of the FFCS family as the art teacher. I get to lead students from age 4, all the way to 18, and point them to the wonders and grace of our Master Artist, and who they are as His children.

About Me
I’ve been married to my wonderful wife for over 32 years and have two sons, a daughter-in-law and one grandson. I love to play the piano and saxophone at church, go on hikes with my wife, and teach kids about Jesus. One of my favorite places to go is Yellowstone National Park. Too bad it isn’t closer! I love my job because the three things I enjoy the most, working around kids of all ages, telling others about Jesus, and making music are what I’m supposed to do all day. Now if only we could all go to Yellowstone Park to do it…
Oh, I really like ice cream too.

About Me
When I am not at school, I am enjoying time with my family. We frequently have dinner together or get together for game nights. My biggest interest outside of school is soccer. Whether it is watching games, coaching the school team, or just kicking the ball around, soccer is something I always look forward to. The best part about teaching is seeing how students grow over the course of the school year. It has been fun to see past students and the growth from when they were in my classroom.
