Good afternoon FFCS Families and Friends! Like many of you, we have been waiting to hear if OSPI would allow schools to reopen in the fall. We are very excited by the news in today’s OSPI press conference – they will be allowing schools to resume operations on campuses in the fall!
Our goal is to re-open on Wednesday, September 2nd, with operations returning as close to "normal" as possible. There will, of course, be some changes as we accommodate the health and safety requirements, such as social distancing and wearing of masks.
FFCS has a 10-person task force meeting weekly to ensure we address state, local, health department and CDC legal guidelines. Just as important, however, is that we address not only the health concerns, but the spiritual, academic, programmatic and social needs of our students and families. As the work of the task force continues, we will provide periodic updates to you over the summer.
In addition, you will be hearing from us periodically about opportunities to reconnect over the summer, as the Governor’s Phasing plans allow.
I would ask that you pray for the entire FFCS team as we work through the challenges before us. On our end, we pray for God’s continued blessings on your family and that you have a wonderful summer break!
