You have an opportunity as a FFCS Family to host one of the international students attending Firm Foundation. There are many benefits to both the international student and the host family through this meaningful experience including: cultural exposure and awareness, making a lasting connection, introducing someone to FFCS and welcoming a new child into your family. We have an opportunity to have more international students at FFCS, currently ranging from grades 9th to 12th, but need host families to accommodate them.

Host families:

  • Receive a stipend to help cover the cost of an additional child in your family.
  • Receive support navigating the dynamic of hosting an international student through an exchange program the school partners with.
  • Have the opportunity to screen potential students for a good fit.
  • Provide an opportunity for a child to experience living in a Christian home for the entire school year.

FFCS has had numerous exchange students and has found cooperation with an international program to be beneficial to the school, student, and host family.  If you are interested in hosting, or would like more information about the program, please let us know by sending an email to Staci Jones at sjones@ffcs.org.

We ask that you prayerfully consider if this might be the right time to expand your hearts and homes to a young life.

Hear From a Current FFCS Host Mom –
“Like bringing up your own children, there is frustration from time to time, especially when I try hard but still cannot quench their craving for that genuine Chinese taste, they struggle with their English projects, and they didn’t know what to say to those soul-searching questions in Bible class. Three years later however, my refrigerator is covered with Student of the Month and Honor Roll awards. I share their joy of high school graduation and university admission; counting myself blessed for the chance of being part of their lives in these formative years.”
